In the middle of the 19th century, after the death of the Emperor of Upper Volta
(actual Burkina Faso), the Prince Tanga organizes a putsch in order to take the power. He abducts Awa, a young peasant girl, from her lover and marries her. Ten years later, Tanga learns that his son Salam is in fact an illegitimate child. Threatened, Salam is forced to run away with thirst for revenge. The wrath of the gods is ready to burst.
